Climbing is all about the right equipment choices, make the right choices and your day out will be a lot more fun. That is what we were aiming for with our Standard 38mm rim, a wheel that is light enough for climbing but stiff enough for sprinting. That’ll help make mountain hairpins a little easier to get around.
To make it easier for you to get our Standard 38mm wheels we are stocking them in our US warehouse. You’ll not have to wait long for your wheels, and there is no chance of a customs delay. On top of that, we’ll ship them to you for free.
Our Standard 38mm wheels feature a rim that is, as you can probably guess, 38mm deep. The rim is constructed from Toray T700 carbon fiber. Using T700 carbon fiber allowed us to build you a rim that is light, strong, and stiff. The exact requirements that you more than likely have for your next wheelset.
To go with our carbon rim, we had to use Sapim CX-Ray spokes. These aero spokes are the industry leading spokes. They are titanium light but steel stiff. We use them to make sure you get no scuffing on your brake pads when you’re putting the power down. Full performance all the time.
To finish off the wheelset, we have fitted our own sealed bearing hubs. The rear hub comes with a 6 pawl system that brings you 48 points of engagement. As soon as you think about pedaling your cassette will have engaged.

1 set of wheelset
I bought these to use as my everyday training tires. So far, they have not disappointed me. Out of the box performance that matches my Rovals. The correct amount of stiffness with just a bit of notice in the wind. The wheels are paired up with Continental Grand Prix tires. Acceleration and climbing, when combined with the abilities of my bike, are very good. The price was not the main reason for purchasing these wheels, but it helped. As of this writing, I have over 800 miles on these wheels
Bought my ICANs almost 3 years ago. Fabulously light aero wheels that have remained true for over 3500 hundred miles on less that perfect road surfaces here in the hills of New England. Saved a measured 631 grams (1.39 pounds) of rotational weight on my climbing bike by replacing the wheels that came on my Cervelo R2 and made an incredible difference on the character of the bike itself. Basically made my climbing bike as fast as my aero bike on flat terrain and measurably improved uphill acceleration. I Can say that I love this 38mm Carbon wheelset. From the Sapim CX-Ray spokes to the quiet Novatec hubs, there's nothing to complain about. I recommend these ICANs to everyone that I cycle with. I honestly cannot praise them enough. Excellent product. I intend to eventually purchase ICAN wheelsets for my 3 current bikes.
No miles yet but they look legit
Great product and looking forward to riding on them as soon as the snow lets up.
