Why Buy From Bike Lovers USA

For a young cyclist who started competition on an entry-level machine, the first equipment upgrade recommended by those in the know is a new pair of  wheels. The increase in performance given by a good wheelset can be startling. And for any boy or girl who is saving up for the quantum leap to carbon wheels, the ICAN standard 50mm is an obvious choice. This hand-built clincher wheelset sells like hot cakes from our US warehouse. It's an affordable pair of 100% carbon racing wheels with flat CN spokes and a two-year guarantee. This do-anything wheelset's total weight is around 1550 grammes, and rim depth is a sculpted 50mm aero profile. The rims measure a slim 23 in width, for low frontal area with a 23C or 25C tyre. Top-class Toray T700 carbon cloth is used to mould the rims, which are drilled for 20 spokes in front and 24 at the rear. The spoke lacing pattern is radial, to cut drag-building air turbulence, except on the drive side of the rear wheel, where rigidity is guaranteed by an ICAN-patented two-cross pattern, even for a big rider who weighs 105 kilos (230lbs). This multi-purpose wheelset relies on a pair of  bulletproof Standard hubs, with two sealed bearings in front and four at the rear. The hubs tick on a foolproof six-pawl system – listen to them buzz as you freewheel!  Here's a bonus – the rear Standard wheel comes ready to accept a Shimano 12 or 11 cassette. And ICAN throws in a pair of skewers, four brake pads and a clincher rim strip to sweeten the  deal.

Late to this, I want to say that yes

I bought a set of ICAN aero 50s rim brake after having warranty issues with a major brand that cost 2x. The ICAN wheels have been excellent - the aero series is more expensive than their other ones but have a combination of T700 and T800 carbon, which must account for their lightweight. Mine came in at 1360 for the set. That is the lightest 50mm depth wheelset I've seen - over 100 grams lighter than my big brand wheels, which were only 41 deep. I have raced on them in mountainous areas etc. and they have performed well. So much so that I may get a set of their 35s for more dedicated climbing. Tubeless, modern width shape etc.

Great wheels

The wheels are fantastic value - weight is REALLY low for the 50s in this price range and comes in bang on the stated 1550g, they're pretty stiff (although not spectacularly stiff), they're comfortable, and they get the tyre into a nice round/wide shape. Aero benefit is difficult to judge in the real world with the number of uncontrollable variables, but I certainly feel fast. Also, as others have said, they look brilliant.

Super light!

Why pay quadruple for other big-name wheels!? These are lighter than comparable Zipps and function awesome! Saw a noticeable difference in speed and acceleration upgrading from older SRAM S60 wheels. I have well over 1000 miles on these already and have put them through paces climbing, braking and riding on flats with crosswinds. I've just noticed some wear on the brake pads which is to be expected but noticed no wear at all along the braking surface. I'm tempted to buy another pair for my daily trainer bike now.

Great quality and performance

Update - I've ridden these wheels over 2000 miles and they are still superb. I've done lots of climbing and 40+ mph descents and all-out sprints with no issues. They look good and the quality is excellent. At 1400+ gr for 50 mm clinchers, I'll race these wheels on all types of courses.
